If you enjoy agave-based spirits, then you're one of us!

The name of our company is "Spirit" For Us, not "Whisky" For Us, because although both of us (Kevin & Jeff) come from a spirit journey that is primarily based in whisky, we both also love other spirits like rum, cognac, mezcal and tequila. And that last one is interesting, because you can't make tequila in Canada ... now hold that thought.

Another very important and crucial aspect of our journey through this industry is the relationships we've formed, the people who have become friends, and the good people who have made real efforts to see us succeed. One of these very special people is Tim Wilson, whom many of you have met and know to be truly exceptional. This is Wilson's Pride, a Tim Wilson creation. We are absolutely thrilled to bring his creation to market. We are honoured to count Tim, Mark and Matt amongst our friends.

This is an image from when the Agave Spirit was being transferred to new totes during shipping. I was surprised at the amount of bubbles and foam generated from the Agave geing pumped into the new totes.

We may, in fact, have another Canadian first on our hands. An independently bottled Canadian-made Agave spirit. It would be called tequila if it were made in certain Mexican provinces. We think our tasting notes speak for themselves. Everyone who has tried it has always said they really loved it. I was also in a couple of tastings as it was getting shown around Canada last year, and it was often in most people's top 3. So, we knew we had to seize any opportunity we could to bottle it and bring it to market, allowing enthusiasts to enjoy it.

At cask strength, it is fruity and full of flavour. At 40%, it is even sweeter and incredibly crushable. We will be releasing it at both cask strength (Batch 1) and at 40% ABV (Batch 2) simultaneously. We also hope that bars and pubs will consider Wilson's Pride for their bars. So please ask for it wherever you can. Also, buy more than one - we know you're going to love it.

Please purchase at Last Straw Distillery or at available stores in Alberta.
